A few new Items added to Owl Eye Vintage

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great weekend! I just wanted to post that I added a few new items to my shop. I have these lovely hair combs that are perfect for almost every outfit, and even adding them with a messy top knot makes you looked finished, no matter what you are wearing.

A Few Random Samplings of Thanksgiving....

I don't know about anyone else, but last night I was pretty stuffed with delicious stuffing and turkey and carrots. And pie, lots of pumpkin pie. And then, I went to Best Buy at midnight. Two-hundred people in front of me at 11:45, I was in and out within twenty minutes of me being there, and I achieved what I was looking to do. I finally bought a flat screen television. I have a tube tv that I won at our after graduation party from when I was in high school, and it’s a 19 inch. What a difference a flat screen and an added twenty inches can do. I think I just spoiled myself. Gilmore Girls will never look the same! I also finally bought a coat. I haven’t bought one since I lost all of my weight, and the last one I had was an extra-large, and I am now in a small. I am SO excited for it to get here! Here are just a few random pictures from yesterday. There are a few flowers fighting the cold left in my yard! And leaves I might have left in the pile instead of bagging them...And of my gorgeous coat from modcloth! I got it from their 50% of sale they were having last night. I adore it and cannot wait to get it!

Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving! While I am ready for the massive feast that is expected on thanksgiving, I wanted to give thanks to everyone I have in my life, and everythng I am lucky enough to own. It is easy to take simple everyday things for granted, when others so desperately need/want/do not have them. Thanks to my family, friends, a warm bed, my cats, gainful employment, my health, and the ability to afford school. The last one I especially need to be thankful for. I often forget how lucky I am to go to college when others cannot afford it. Happy thanksgiving everyone! What are you thankful for today?

Ps, I decided to start a collage wall. This is what I have so far. I have a long way to go! Any thoughts on great places to buy prints? The prints in the frame were actually thank you cards I bought at a local art store and decided to make into a memo board.

30 Days Day 19-Myself, One Year Ago

One year ago, I had just finished celebrating a month of my thirties, and was just returning from my family reunion trip to Denver, Colorado. I loved it! Well, not my sister waking me up at 5am everyday. But everything else yes. Here are a few pics!

View from my hotel-first time ever seeing a mountain!

Buffalo Bill Museum!

You could act out a scene with props and costumes-I opted out of the clothes. Who knows
when the last time they were cleaned.

Legend has it if you throw a quarter and hit the star, and it then hits the cross then you get a wish.
That COULD have been started by the museum...His grave is on top of a mountain.

30 Days, Day 18- What I Wore Today

Hey! How was your weekend everyone? I am a day late on this, but here is my day 18. Today I was doing a little photo shoot for my etsy shop, so I wasn't wearing anything too spectacular. This is actually one of my work shirts-I have to wear plain long sleeve shirts and khaki pants. Not super fun clothes. But it was white and had the right neckline, plus is was warm. It was a little chilly outside yesterday.

That was me being a dork, jumping up in the air because I was done taking pictures. If I only knew a ton of editing was to follow.

30 Days Day 17- My Family

I am pretty lucky that most of my family lives in the same city as I do. One of the perks of growing up in St. Louis, I guess. Here is just a sampling of my family, in pictures.

Myself with my two cats Sam and Jack(who look THRILLED to be wearing those)

My sister Janet, Brother Jim, my Dad and me

My cousins and I( I was 6- I look so much younger)

My favorite picture of my nephew Justin and my Dad, walking exactly the same and wearing
almost the same exact clothes

The four Welsch Boys(whose baby pictures look EXACTLY the same)

My Aunt Cindy, Cousins Amanda, Jennifer(the bride), and Rachel, my Aunt Pat,
and my Aunt Beth

Jimmy, My Mom, Janet, Myself, and my Dad

My Dad and his brother and sisters together last year for the first time last year in years

My Grandma Dottie, who passed away in 2008. She was hilarious, and kinda ditzy.
